ST. PAUL THE MODEL MISSIONARY

"How Beautiful Are the Feet of Those Who Bring Good News!" (Rom 10:15)

ABOUT THE BOOK

Dr. C.O. Jacob comes up with a brilliant piece of text on the mission of Paul entitled St. Paul - the Model Missionary “How Beautiful Are the Feet of Those Who Bring Good News." (Rom 10:15)

The author points out that together with the universal outlook of mission held by St. Paul, his closeness to Christ, openness to be led by the Holy Spirit and the centrality given to the Church, held him up as a splendid example for all missionaries.

The peripatetic missionary zeal of St. Paul made him the best paradigm of preaching gospel amidst of the encircling negativities and alarming threats. The author deserves special applause for the clarity of thought in spite of the brevity of description.

The portrait of the mission envisioned in this work is an effective roadmap for the mission enterprises of the Church. Having been acquainted with various mission projects, the author meticulously inspires the reader to situate one’s own role in the great mission of evangelization in the Church.

In this book the author comes up with a commentary introducing Paul’s missionary methods for those who aspire to engage in the field of evangelization. I pray that this book may become a new door and opening for the word of God to enter the hearts of many children.

Another Dignitary

The book unfolds the true scenario that generally prevails in various missions in India and attempts to suggest counteractive measures possible, by proposing the Pauline pattern. The book also provides an insightful study of Biblical passages of pastoral and missiological dimensions, for greater appreciation of the potential and the constraints of the mission dioceses. I am quite sure that, the author will score the reader’s attention with his clarity of thoughts and systematic presentation.
